From British Artists to Global Collectors
Direct Access to Exceptional Work
Original Work, Ready for Commission
One of a Kind, At Any Scale

ARTISAN: Someone who creates with skill, craft and their own hands
COLLECTIVE: A group of people coming together with a shared purpose

Britain’s leading independent artists. Globally represented.

Direct access to exceptional British art, sculpture, furniture and design - curated, commercially aligned and ready to place.

Artisan Collective exists to place exceptional work into real environments - directly, efficiently and without noise. In a fragmented market of open directories, unclear timelines and untested ideas, we provide a structured, reliable route to sourcing and commissioning work that is exceptional in quality and viable in real-world settings.

As an invite-only network representing over 150 leading independent British artists, with £10 million of work available online, the website offers a snapshot of the depth and capability within the Collective. Full portfolios and wider bodies of work sit beyond what is shown here, with direct access to the artists behind the work.

Every artist within the Collective is selected not only for originality and craftsmanship, but for their ability to deliver - ensuring that what is presented is viable and aligned to real-world environments.

Artists within the Collective already place work in private, commercial and public environments worldwide, including highly specified settings. From individual pieces to complex multi-site commissions and licensing agreements, we provide a structured, end-to-end approach with clear timelines, transparent pricing and global delivery.

We simplify access to multiple creators through one carefully managed relationship - removing the need to coordinate separate conversations, timelines and agreements, while protecting your time, your project and your reputation.

Whether you’re working to a brief, exploring the collection, or commissioning something entirely new, we work alongside you from the outset - shaping direction, testing feasibility early, and ensuring every option presented is ready to move forward.

ALASTAIR GIBSON - CARBON ART 45
ENGINEERING INSPIRED SCULPTURE

The Artisan Exposé invites you behind the scenes with Britain’s most compelling creators. This feature captures the world of Alastair Gibson - a pioneer in carbon fibre sculpture and one of the leading artists working with the material today.

After 22 years at the highest level of Formula One, including ten years as Chief Mechanic within the BAR and Honda F1 team, Alastair brings a level of precision and material understanding rarely seen in contemporary sculpture. His work transforms carbon fibre from a material defined by speed and performance into something permanent, sculptural and collectable. Rooted in Formula One heritage, original F1 components are integral to much of his practice, with each piece carrying its own story and provenance.

Selected by Silverstone to design and create the 2024 Formula 1 Qatar Airways British Grand Prix trophies, his work represents a full-circle moment - from operating at the highest level of motorsport to shaping the symbol of victory itself. He has also been commissioned by the National Spitfire Project to produce a collection of carbon fibre Spitfire sculptures, reinforcing the reach of his work beyond the gallery space.

At the forefront of his practice sits Carbon David - a monumental solid carbon fibre sculpture standing 3.7 metres tall and weighing 470 kilograms, constructed from over 7,000 individual layers of carbon fibre across 64 precision-formed blocks. Engineered as a reconfigurable work, it moves beyond static sculpture - designed to be adapted, evolved and experienced rather than simply observed.
